of recently i have been struck with the impulse to do something that can only be accomplished in philly. as a new inhabitant of the city, i felt that there was one thing in particular that i should do because it was uniquely philly and also something that would be a personal accomplishment. so yesterday evening i decided it was the perfect time and temperature to make this happen. i took a run from my apartment on 8th and pine all the way to the art museum, up the steps, down the steps and back home. now you may think, cheesy, cheesy, but really i felt a nice connection with the city standing at the top of all those stairs with the city all lit up for the night.
